This course aims to provide an introduction to the many areas of Digital Technologies.

Comprising of 3 periods a week and chosen as an option.

A collection of unit standards at level one and two NCEA (Being 10 Credits) are assessed and held for the students until year 11.
US 18734 Create a Webpage using a template.
US 18743 Produce a spreadsheet from instructions.
US 18758 Demonstrate navigation skills with a browser.
US 2792 Produce computer graphic documents using templates.
US 5941 Exchange messages using electronic mail.

Also taught are some Gimp and Flash drawing skills, simple programming concepts using Alice, Flash Animation and simple flash interactions, a robot primer using lego and a section on binary numbers and computer science basics. The binary is to be presented using video so some video editing and capture will also be covered.
