General Class Programmes
All classes follow core curriculum requirements as set out by the Ministry of Education.
Students and staff in Primary classes (Years 0 - 6) have access to, and make full use of, total school facilities, such as the library, hall/gymnasium and swimming pool.
The timetable is organised to allow for a greater degree of specialisation from Years 7 and 8 through to Year 13 when classes are timetabled. For some subject areas a co-operative approach is employed eg: physical education, music, home economics, art, science and workshop craft, where there is a degree of teacher-student movement, but the basic core programme is catered for in a homeroom situation.
Some remedial and development programmes eg: reading and mathematics are available for selected students.
Curriculum Guide : This guide explains option choices and parents have the opportunity to ask questions about subjects. However, please feel free to approach staff at any time to discuss courses and subjects (including courses available from other accredited institutions).
Minimum Class Size: Option subjects at Years 11-13 will only be taught if sufficient numbers of students choose to take them. If it is not possible to have all option subjects taught, an endeavour will be made to make them available through Distance Learning opportunities.
