On Wednesday the 13th of April room 7MOR went to Continuing Care to give homemade Easter baskets filled with Easter eggs and homemade goodies. We met a lady that goes by the name Edith Hamilton. Edith Hamilton was 105. She was able to walk by herself with her walking stroller and she was very fit for her age. All of room 7MOR enjoyed it immensely and the smile on their faces was hard to describe!!!!!!!!!! The home baking was baked by pupils, parents/caregivers and grandparents was delicious. We felt proud of ourselves when we handed our baskets to the older folks. Those that could not speak showed their gratitude with a smileJ.
Because there were 50 people at the Continuing Care the Mercury Bay Chartered Club kindly helped us with expenses.
