Mercury Bay Area School

In all three areas of the school there are teams of student leaders. In the senior and middle years these consist of Head Boy, Head Girl, deputies and leaders with specific responsibilties for sports, arts & culture, enviro, academic, the BoT and international students. In the senior years team there is also a representative for students with special needs. In the Primary years there is an elected team of six students from Y6. These student teams are responsible for organising various social, arts and sports activities for their peers and representing the school at various events.

House Captains are elected by students in Y4-13 from each of the four houses: Tainui, Mercury, Matahaorua and Buffalo. These captains represent other students on various forums and lead their house teams in various events.
