At the start of the year 2010 we initialized all logons and passwords for all the students - this for logging onto Windows (MBAS network/active directory) and accessing the internet (SINA). The logon is lastname and 1st initial - if there is another person at school with the same 1st initial a 2 is added to the logon (e.g. browna2)
All information in order to create the initial list of all students of a class can be accessed in KAMAR.
- Main Menu - Printing allows to create Studentlists
- Select Class lists and press Print (if you would like to store the list - tick the PDF or File export option)
- a dropdownlist with default Studentdetails appears - open that list, select Custom Fields and press Print again
- a list of all classes is generated
- select your class and press Print Classes on the top right
- a list of Categories is displayed - by clicking on the field next to Categories: (General by default) another dropdownlist appears
- select Internet - all Internet related fields are displayed, we want Internet unique logon and Internet password Student
- Print generates the (paper) output
Please remember that the students will change their password and that there is no data-exchange/synchronisation between Windows and Internet.
We do advise the students to keep 1 password for both logons.
